Maggie LaCorte, Features Editor

Maggie LaCorte is a reporter and editor of her school’s wonderful newspaper, Wolf’s Print. She first became a member of Wolf’s Print in the second half of her junior year at Desert Mountain. She is graduating in 2020, and while she is looking forward to moving on and expanding her knowledge about writing in college, she is dreading the day she is no longer a member of Wolf’s Print. It has been an incredibly influential part of her high school career.

Writing has always been a passion of Maggie’s; She has loved to read and write ever since she was a little girl. At a young age, before she even knew how to read, she would spend hours staring at what was written on the pages, wishing she knew what secrets they held. She looks forward to the day she finishes her first novel, adding to the literary tradition she has always wanted to be a part of.

After high school, she is planning to attend Arizona State University. She doesn’t currently know what exactly she will be studying, but she does know that it will always incorporate writing. It is her life’s passion, and she cannot wait to see what she will do with it in the future.

ARTISTIC SELFIE--Senior Sydney Becraft shares a self-portrait crafted while during the governor's stay-at-home orders. “Lately I’ve been doing a lot of artwork to prepare for my future college career at the Savannah College of Art and Design," Becraft said. "I’ve been going back to some older techniques and practicing them more, such as still life drawings.”
