Wolf's Print

Anne Williams is a Junior who is new to both Desert Mountain High School and Wolf’s Print.  She moved this past year from California and is excited to start her path as a writer and editor in journalism, with this being her first year involved in the activity.  Anne has always had a passion for writing, whether it be short stories, poetry, or skits.

Through journalism, she is hoping to bring that enthusiasm and creativity to the Desert Mountain student body.  Anne is looking forward to contributing to the responsibility of truth-seeking, as done by all wonderful journalists, while incorporating the often overlooked vividness of day-to-day life found in our school.  Her eagerness in journalism lies in the ability to introduce new perspectives and experiences with the narratives of fellow students, staff, and others in an effort to shed light on the community that may feel distant to some, despite its physical proximity.

Through her favorite book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Anne has come to fully appreciate the beauty in listening and observing the world around her.  She is also inspired by the art and writing of John Lennon, whom she admires for his ability to express so simply yet convey so emotionally.  Anne would love to adopt a voice similar to Lennon who could switch between bluntly exposing the corrupt state of society to poetically striving for peace and tranquility in all.  As she continues to write, Anne is hoping to further her voice as an individual and gain more experience in the broader art of journalism while fine-tuning the skills of writing freely and acquiring the accounts of those she is writing about.

In future years, Anne would love to continue her passion for creative and entertainment-based writing.  In the meantime, she is thrilled to be part of a wonderful team and advance her skills.
