The Washington Post has its “Democracy Dies in Darkness”. The New York Times has its “All the News that’s Fit to Print”. And starting in 1922, Scripps’ newspapers used the slogan, “Give light and the people will find their own way.”

Newspaper slogans, or taglines, have helped state a publications truth in changing times. So, as we launch the new-look Wolf’s Print, we’re looking to state our own truth.

So we looked to the professionals for help. One of our personal favorites that we considered, compliments of the Aspen Daily News offers its own amusing-but-vaguely-threatening tagline “If you don’t want it printed, don’t let it happen”. Funny, but a bit aggressive for our taste. Inspired by Monsters Inc.’s Roz, we also carefully considered this gem:

“We’re watching. Always watching.”

Tempting, yes. But a tad creepy.

So we need your help. Desert Mountain, help us choose a tagline for our newspaper. Vote below, and let us know. We’ll let you know of the results!
