Leena Darwish, Manging Editor
Welcome to Leena’s Bio. Leena is part of the Class of 2020. This will be her first year in Wolf’s Print and she is very excited for what will come.
In her younger years, Leena loved asking small opinion polls with friends and family about the most random topics to reveal how people feel and why. Most of her experience came from her freshman year during the Nuremberg Trials, which most IB students remember as a traumatic experience. For most IB freshman, Nuremberg was a stressful period of hell. For this young student, however, Nuremberg is where she shined. She investigated all the point of views of the court and reporting about the events and other issues in a newspaper designed from scratch.
In her free time, she volunteers with multiple organizations, such as ISBA (Islamic Speaker Bureau of Arizona), TAB (Teen Advisory Board), and Teen Court.
She currently lives with her mom and her brothers, one older and one younger, making her the middle child. Out of all thirty cousins, who all live in Ramallah, Palestine, she is the oldest and first girl going to college. Terrifying thought? Absolutely. However, this one terrifying thought has caused growth in her life as she attempts to be good role model for her cousins and a person to trust, despite being 7,432 miles away.
As an news editor for Wolf’s Print, she plans on writing about Desert Mountain opinions and point of views, including staff and students, on certain important topics.
