Eric McGuire, Staff Writer
Eric McGuire, is a senior in the class of 2020, and a writer and journalist at Wolf’s Print. He recently broke onto the journalism front and has found it fulfilling so far. Before this, he’s always had a natural love of all things literature including writing, and has had a natural but still unnerving transition, due to his inexperience with it. Journalism also seems to dovetail nicely with his future career, fashion design, and he plans to incorporate fashion and entertainment journalism into his work in the future.
He is a recent transfer from Fountain Hills High School, and has met and experienced new people and situations that he hopes to develop into his work given his unique perspective. Desert Mountain is certainly a bigger school, which he finds a little daunting, but overall has found the switch to be beneficial in helping to further his social and educational life. With journalism, he is aiming to achieve loads of different goals, some big and small. He is really passionate about politics and civil rights but equally invested in art, film, and literature. When asked about his future in journalism, he said, “I think having a background in both sides of contemporary life will make for varied and entertaining stories that can be completely fun reads or hard-hitting pieces that provide information on issues relevant to our culture today.”
