Zach D’Costa, Writer
Zach D’Costa is a Junior at Desert Mountain High School. He is excited to embark on his first formal endeavor into journalism as a writer for the Wolf’s Print. Since he was young, Zach has been an avid reader of both local and global news, and he would love to share that same passion with the Desert Mountain community. Zach’s initial foray into the world of journalism began in the ninth grade, where he was assigned to be a reporter for Mr. Knox’s IB Nuremberg Trials project. This role came with the responsibility of producing five newspaper issues, including writing numerous articles, designing the newspaper layout, and producing photographs and political cartoons. From this experience, Zach immediately fell in love with journalism and desired to explore it more deeply, which led him to join the Wolf’s Print in 2024. Zach’s desire to be informed about current events, both local and global, is something he would like to share with the student body at Desert Mountain. He has a love for succinct and humorous writing and he hopes to hone these skills while writing for the Wolf’s Print. Zach is a huge fan of hip-hop music, particularly the works of Kendrick Lamar, and he loves analyzing the complex themes and clever wordplay of Lamar’s music. In the future, Zach hopes to continue his journey of writing in college, and he hopes to broaden his horizons by using this passion for advocacy. He looks forward to a great and productive year working for the Wolf’s Print.
