ALWAYS PROUD OF THESE STUDENTS: The DMHS marching band performs in DMs semi-finals game against Higley, putting on a show during halftime. “The marching band is an awesome, welcoming atmosphere throughout the football season, said band teacher Mr. Hummel, adding he is always proud of these students.” The marching band has always rested near the top when coming to state competitions, especially thanks to Mr. Hummels positive attitude and way of teaching.

Juniors Luke Vazirani and Ryan Dick stand in the midst of the crowd during the playoff semif-finals football game against Higley while Vazirani holds up a W with his fingers. “The crowd is crazy, loud and exciting to be in, said Vazirani; its a shame if you don’t go.” Although we subsequently lost our playoff game and were eliminated, DM had one of the best seasons the school has ever seen.

CREATIVE COMPOSITION: Junior Gretchen Bagby presented art she drew in Mrs. Wilkins art class and which was inside of DMs art gallery. Mrs. Wilkins says she enjoys teaching art. “It’s my joy, my joy everyday,” she said. Desert Mountain takes pride in the art of this school, and in fact various galleries and murals throughout the school display students art.
