WANTED: Writers, artists
DM literary magazine seeking entries to recognize the school’s best literary, visual talent
February 24, 2021
Attention all writers, photographers, and artists: here is your chance to be officially published in Desert Mountain’s literary magazine, Helios!
The online publication, which is scheduled to appear on the Wolf’s Print website about the end of April, will showcase the artistic talent of our high school’s students across all grade levels.
First, we need creative Desert Mountain students to submit. The two categories are Writing and Art, each of which includes multiple genres. Follow these Submission Guidelines to learn more about submission rules and requirements. Then, share your work via our Submission Form . Please be aware that there is suggested $3 donation for each submission, which you can pay through the online bookstore; see Submission Guidelines for further instructions.
The submission window will close March 15, 2021. Afterward, a group of students and teachers will judge submissions according to a standard set of Judging Criteria. All submissions, accepted or otherwise, will receive a brief paragraph of feedback specialized to your work! Decisions and feedback will be sent around the end of March.
The very best works will be also published in a hard copy magazine to be distributed in May.
If you have any questions, please contact Danielle Sherman at [email protected]. Helios looks forward to receiving your writing, photography, and art!
