Olivia is an International Baccalaureate (IB) senior here at DMHS. Originally from Scotland, she spent her elementary years at an international bilingual school in Switzerland where she became fluent in French, and this is her fifth year living in Arizona. After graduating high school, Olivia plans to continue to surround herself with internationalism by pursuing a degree in international relations. She would love to eventually become an international lawyer or work for the United Nations.

Olivia has always loved to write. In the summer of 2021, she was one of 10 students accepted into a Harvard crisis journalism course, and she loved every second. She has also written creative writing pieces that have been published in the Pegasus literary magazine. Her love for writing extends beyond creative and journalistic style. While participating in a Law and Social Movements course at Brown University in 2019, Olivia wrote and presented a detailed action plan outlining the importance of civil rights and social justice education in schools.

Performing arts is another passion; throughout her time in the United States, she has performed in more than a dozen community theatre productions. Her favorite roles include Sandy (Grease), Catherine (Pippin), and Roxie Hart (Chicago).  She was nominated for an AriZoni award for her role as Roxie and received a National Youth Arts award for her role as Catherine. She also placed first in her category in the 2019 Arizona NATS singing competition, and she earned a Superior rating representing DMHS Players in the 2020 Northern Arizona Festival of Theatre. She is excited to combine her love of the arts with her love of writing in order to produce some theatre-related pieces here at Wolf's Print!
