Kevin Sheh, Adviser

Since he was a child, Mr. Sheh was inspired by novels, including his favorites: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Still Life with Woodpecker, Tales of the South Pacific, Cannery Row, Archie and Mehitabel, Cat's Cradle--that would make the authors Douglas Adams, Tom Robbins, James Michner, Don Marquis, Douglas Adams, James Michener, Kurt Vonnegut. He distinguished himself in many ways during high school--just not scholastically. Consequently, he spent 10 years earning U.S. Marine Corps and Coast Guard honorable discharges.

After earning a journalism degree from ASU, Mr. Sheh wrote for 10 years for the Prescott Courier, Tribune Newspapers, and the Arizona Republic, winning the Don Bolles award for investigative journalism; his freelance magazine credits include interviews with Oprah, Kathleen Turner, and Colin Powell.

When journalism no longer was able to support his now massive ego, he turned to education--after five years teaching at Seton Catholic, he now teaches International Baccalaureate English, creative writing, theory of knowledge and journalism at Desert Mountain High School. He holds masters degrees in information technology and curriculum and is attending film school at SCC while attempting to publish his first fictional work.

Sheh likes naps, fantasy football, ginger ale, provocative cable television series (Shameless is the latest), artichokes, sherbet and that low-down dirty blues.
