Geena Kollman, Photographer
Geena Kollman is a Senior at Desert Mountain High School. She takes a great interest in photography and biology. She plans on going into pre-med/medical school or veterinarian school to become a pediatrician or a veterinarian. However, she is sticking with general biology until she decides which route to go after she receives her undergraduate degree. As a side hobby/job, Geena plans on creating art through her photography and painting. Since middle school Geena has always taken an art class and has become very interested in painting and drawing.
Geena became involved in photography through her older sister who works as a part-time nurse and owns her own photography company. Although, she learned through her sister, the two of them could not be any more different when it comes to their styles. Geena enjoys capturing landscapes and candid photos of people and animals and she does enjoy taking photos for family and friends, however, she finds more beauty through candid work. Geena believes that photography, especially candid pieces, capture beauty that many people are oblivious to. She believes that everything has beauty it just depends on the way in which a person looks at their surroundings.
