Tiara Martin, Writer
Tiara Martin is in her Junior year at Desert Mountain High School, and is excited to be starting her first year in Wolf’s Print! Tiara started her love of reading and writing at a young age, with her personal favorite childhood books being Dork Diaries and The Magic Treehouse. However, as she began to take reading and writing more seriously in school, they started to feel more like a chore than a hobby, especially when she was (unfortunately) introduced to annotations. In middle school, she stumbled upon Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and she rediscovered that not all books are boring and written in confusing old English (she will never be reading Beowulf or The Odyssey again). Tiara has always loved stories and passionate writing, and through Wolf’s Print she is able to contribute her ideas and write what she is passionate about. She is so excited to be a part of the DM Student Life section in Wolf’s Print because of her passion in mental health and psychology, which she hopes to pursue in the future. Through Wolf’s Print, Tiara hopes to build on her writing and journalism skills, and help fellow students through articles that include mental health and academic related topics. Tiara’s goals in the future include her majoring and eventually getting her phD in psychology at an out of state university (preferably somewhere where the weather isn’t 110 degrees), and later on aspiring to be an author and write a psychology-related book. All in all, Tiara is so excited to bring new ideas and passionate writing to Wolf’s Print this year!
