Rohini Gopalakrishnan, Writer
Rohini Gopalakrishnan is a Sophomore starting her second year at Desert Mountain High School. She has always had a passion for writing and loves many styles, especially poetry and descriptive writing. Her love for writing started when she was around eight years old, beginning by writing simple short stories and then transitioning into more illustrative and extensive writing. She was a part of her middle school’s Creative Writing Club and participated in creative writing summer camps such as the Young Author’s Writing Program and the High School Creative Writing Class. She loves sharing her work with her mom and grandma, who have always motivated her and believed she could use her skills in the real world. Rohini uses writing as a way to express herself and connect more with the world around her. She believes writing does not always need to be serious, but that it can be a fun way to use your imagination to create interesting stories, maybe related to your personal life, or with a fairytale ending. Rohini also believes writing is a useful tool to connect with others to find similarities and differences in not just the person’s writing, but the individuals themselves. Career-wise, she is interested in psychology and business and plans to study it in the future. While this is her first year being a part of Wolf’s Print, Rohini is excited to take this opportunity to enhance her writing skills, collaborate with others, and truly be a part of the Desert Mountain student body.
